SUMMER THOUGHTS FROM OUR COMMUNICATOR LISEN

It’s time for summer vacation for our Malmö and Gothenburg offices! After an amazing half-year with design awards, new friends and colleagues we take two weeks off before the second half takes off. We took a quick chat with our Communicator Lisen Älgne about her thoughts of the year so far and her plans for the summer.

HI LISEN! IT'S SOON TIME FOR SOME WEEKS OFF FROM WORK, WHAT DO YOU HAVE PLANNED FOR THE SUMMER?
– I’ve taken three weeks off and will start my vacation with going back to Småland, where I will visit family and friends. Then there’s a road trip to Stockholm, a weekend in Gothenburg and horseback riding planned out. I'm also looking forward to read books and do as little as possible, and hopefully have someone feed me strawberries from Öland.

WHICH ARE YOUR BEST MEMORIES FROM THE SPRING?
– We started the year by launching our new website, host Creative Mornings Malmö and talk at Malmö Business 0707am. Three really fun and inspiring happenings! We also won Red Dot Design Award “Best of the Best” for our collaboration with PFAFF, was awarded with Swedish Design S Awards in the category of “Sustainable development” for our pro-bono project Zstove and held a workshop to promote female entrepreneurship during The Yes Day 2018. In short, there's simply been a very eventful and enjoyable six months!

WHAT THREE THINGS ARE YOU LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS FALL?
– The first must be The Conference, a two-day exploration of human behavior, new technology and how to make things happen, September 4-5th. Second is The Festival, a whole week connected to The Conference with seminars, workshops and other festivities! We will contribute with a workshop and open office during the week, so much fun! The third thing would be to follow Service Design Global Conference 2018 in October, with the focus “Designing to Deliver” – insights about how we move from service design methods and tools to delivery.
