2010-06-10 | Zenit car divested.

Maybe you have seen it in our parking lot - the mangy Volvo 240 from -89, which has been Zenit's unofficial company tractor for a couple of years now. It is a bit unclear how it came into our possession, but the red colour felt right from the start. Or at least almost. Surely, we thought it would phase out itself naturally, but no! This Volvo turned out to be totally indestructible, so now that we no longer have room for it in our team, we just had to sell it. It will probably be very loyal to the next owner as well, for many years to come.
We wish the red Volvo all the best in the future. No hard feelings, even though we sold you cheap, right?!

 

2010-06-10 | We like Blekinge!

Zenit Design was invited by Tech Network in Blekinge to a number of meetings with companies in the region. It has been very exciting and we appreciate that we had the opportunity to start up collaborations with several interesting companies based in Blekinge.
Last week Marten and Magnus was in a business meeting hosted by Safeman AB in Olofström.
Safeman we know already, but we got the chance to meet several new companies, and future meetings are already booked. Challenging and exciting, we think.

2010-06-02 | Zenith Design gave lecture at Företagsakademin.

Företagsakademin had invited some 100 participants to an evening with the theme of Design. We met at Saltimporten, where we had a walk among the companies that are there. Interesting and informative!
Our Morten Bergstrom was also invited to speak, and pressed the importance of early involvement in product development phase. We showed some of the products we helped to develop, and also took the opportunity to showcase our brand new laptop speakers Orlo, which gained great interest among the participants.

2010-05-20 | We at Zenit are always curious!

A bunch of curious Zenit people recently visited RNP in Landskrona. RNP is today a leading company in northern Europe in terms of laser processing. As one of only five companies in the world, they can offer pipe components processed with the latest laser technology.
We got to see and experience new and faster ways to produce parts, which previously could only be milled out. It gave us many new ideas and our engineers and designers were inspired to think in new ways.

2010-05-17 | Grand Award of Design 2010

The  winner of The Grand Award of Design 2010 was recently annonced. And Zenit was not even close this time, actually not even nominated. Reason for that is simple; since our creative director Morten Bergström was part of the jury, we were not allowed to participate. Of course. But we will be back next year!
Being the proud award winners of last year, we would like to honour  this years very worthy winner: Waterproof International, who developed their W1 diving suit with a lot of innovative thinking and design. Congratulations!

The award is given out by Teknikföretagen, the association of Swedish Engineering Industries, to companies and their design partners who achieve success in business through integrated and consistent design. Zenit captured the Grand Award of Design 2009, for our successful design program for Axis Communications.
