2010-02-01 | Designed to save energy

With the winter cold continuing, and heating bills increasing, energy saving is a hot topic. We have designed Nibe’s new generation of heating pumps that was launched in the autumn of 2009. The sophisticated and smart design can help you reduce energy costs with up to 80%. Watch this movie to find out more.

2009-12-18 | We welcomed four new members to our team in November:

Magnus Hansson is our new Director of Marketing and Business Development. Magnus has a background in advertising and as Marketing Director at Brio. He comes to us most recently from a position at Semcon in Lund. Magnus lives in Lund, dreams about Torekov and is more than happy to go skiing in the Alps.

Susanne Carlstedt and Viktor Berglin are our newest additions on the mechanical design side. Susanne has studied technical design in Lund and worked at Semcon for two years. She is a gymnastics coach and just recently became a homeowner. Viktor has also studied technical design, but at Chalmers in Gothenburg. He comes to us straight off completing a degree project at Semcon. He is a Västerås guy who plays the drums and speaks Japanese.

Johan Hägg is our new talent on the design side. He has studied at IKDC in Lund, where his degree project was an operation table for Nasa, and he has worked at Pilotfish in Munich. Johan enjoys freediving and playing the guitar.

2009-12-02 | From cubbyhole to bar

Until recently, a small cubbyhole with space for no more than three people to manoeuvre in at one time housed our coffeemaker, microwave, refrigerator and dishwasher. We called it a kitchen but it is no exaggeration to say that we outgrew it long ago. So this autumn we knocked down walls, moved pipes, and built an entirely new kitchen. We are extremely pleased with the result. It is larger, smarter, nicer, and blacker. And it is the first thing you will see when you come through the door on your next to visit us.

2009-11-27 | For The Moment

We will participate in the digital and interactive design exhibition FOR THE MOMENT, showing in Stockholm, Malmö, and Brussels in December. The exhibition presents a selection of projects by notable innovative companies in southern Sweden and is part of the European Year of Innovation and Creativity 2009. The exhibition will present our design of Axis Communications’ dome camera Q6032-E PTZ for outdoor surveillance.

2009-09-07 | New modularity in ambulance interiors

The design of any product is often limited by the materials it is to be made of and by the methods available for producing it. These factors are influenced in turn, not least in terms of financial considerations and series sizes. When the EU issues new directives that ambulance interiors should fulfil, it also raises interesting opportunities for the design of ambulance interiors. During the spring of 2009, we have worked on a SVID Expandera project to simplify the production of interior modules for Karosseriverken’s ambulances. The current work towards the standardisation of ambulance interiors enables new possibilities to move from sheet material solutions to designing more finished modules, for larger series and with set equipment.

The project has gone from our design concept to finished ambulance interiors in less than five months. The finished products meet high demands on ergonomics, cleanability, and handling, but also create a unique design expression and clear identity.
